Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s plans for the UK may be a little tight, but they definitely have something in store for son Prince Archie’s sixth birthday.
The Duke of Sussex, who was due to attend the 10th anniversary events of the Invincible Games in May, will reportedly return to the UK, subject to security arrangements for the trip.
according to new magazineHarry and Meghan initially planned to fly to the UK on a private jet with Archie and his sister, Princess Lilibet, the day before the event, according to people familiar with the matter.
A source revealed: “Harry and Meghan plan to host Archie’s fifth birthday party at their home in Montecito on May 6, before flying to the UK on a private jet the next day.”
However, that plan took a hit after details of their appearance were leaked.
“Harry and Meghan had planned to come to the UK but when the exact time and date they showed up [at the Invictus ceremony] After it became public, she started to reconsider the idea,” the insider explained.
Harry, meanwhile, prefers “regular visits with his family as a family and building bridges.”
Last year, King Charles’ coronation fell on the same day as Archie’s birthday. It was later revealed that the monarch made a special mention of his grandson, wishing him a happy birthday “wherever he is”.
