Duke of York visits King Charles regularly to ‘boost’ him

Prince Andrew continues to offer support to King Charles and remains close to him during his battle with cancer.

The Duke of York visits King Charles regularly to “boost” him, according to royal author Angela Levin.

Andrew was seen at St George’s Chapel in Windsor on Easter Sunday, making a surprise appearance in his first public appearance since the king’s diagnosis.

In an interview with GBN America, Levine said it was a sign of the family’s “unity” during difficult times.

“We all saw him going to church in Windsor for Christmas,” she said.

“We have to differentiate between working royals and family members.

“King Charles believes the family needs to stay together.

“He actually visited Charles a number of times and tried to motivate him and be kind and nice. So I don’t think you can say, ‘You can’t come to church now’.

“I think that’s what people thought. He didn’t go over and shake hands with a lot of people who were there who might have taken their hands away, well, they might or might not have.”

When the royal family arrived at the church, Levine said of Andrew “going first” that this was because the Duke of York was considered “the least important”.

“I think that’s the rule of the royal family,” he said.

“The least important ones go first, and the most important ones, the king and queen, go last, so he goes first.

“So it’s ironic that when he led them into the church, they thought he was the lowest of the low.”

Ahead of this, Netflix is developing a new production based on Andrew’s explosive interview with BBC Newsnight in 2019.

The Scoop will reveal Andrew’s decision to address his friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The interview was widely regarded as a “car accident” and caused the Duke’s reputation to be damaged, but he has always denied any wrongdoing.
