Jaipur, Oct 24 (IANS) Rajasthan BJP unit president Madan Rathod on Friday said the India Bloc neither has a clear policy nor an ideological base, alleging that the alliance is entirely driven by “power hunger” and lacks a vision for the nation.
He was reacting to the developments ahead of the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, the conduct of the Bharat Alliance and the statements of former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.
Rathod asserted: “The sole aim of the India Bloc is to gain power at any cost. Development and public welfare are nowhere on their agenda. This is a mismatched and opportunistic alliance, bound together not by conviction but by convenience. People who were once political rivals now share a platform only to satisfy their hunger for power.”
Claiming that the alliance has no roadmap for public welfare, he said the group lacks any concrete program for development, good governance or improving the lives of common citizens.
He commented, “BJP, power-hungry Bharatiya Janata Party, Ashok Gehlot failed as election strategists: Madan Rathod, on the other hand, is committed to development-oriented politics, transparency and public trust. The people of India have understood this truth and will not be misled by such alliances.”
Commenting on India Bloc’s chief ministerial face in Bihar (Tejashwi Yadav), Rathore described it as a “political stunt” designed only to confuse voters.
He said, “His CM face is only a ruse to gain power by deceit. No one knows when betrayal will happen within this alliance. It lacks credibility and coherence. Even the seat-sharing was done without principle or policy – his only mission is to gain power without an agenda.”
Taking a dig at Ashok Gehlot, the BJP leader said, “Gehlot may be adept at playing politics, but he has failed miserably in formulating an election strategy. Wherever the Congress deployed him to strategise, it ultimately benefited the BJP. In Gujarat and Maharashtra, the Congress suffered a setback under his leadership, and now that he has been sent to Bihar, the result will again be in their favour.” BJP.”
Rathore concluded that the people of Bihar and the country want stability, development and strong governance, which only the BJP can ensure. “Opportunistic alliances cannot deliver good governance. Their contradictions will ultimately defeat them,” he said.
