Pope Leo and the Catholic Church are at loggerheads again…

What about again you may ask?

Proclamation of the name and fame of Jesus Christ?

No fool!

They are spending their time praising humans and declaring them “saints”.

In this particular case, a former Satanic priest turned Catholic priest named Bartolo Longo:

Here is a brief account of Bartolo Longo’s life:

Bartolo Longo (1841-1926)

Bartolo Longo was an Italian lawyer who famously transformed from a Satanic priest to a devout Catholic and promoter of the Rosary.

Raised in a Catholic home, he strayed from religion while studying law in Naples, where he became involved in occult practices and was eventually ordained a priest of Satan. This experience left him deeply depressed and spiritually pained.

Through the influence of a Christian friend and a Dominican priest, Longo abandoned Satanism, returned to the Church, and became a Dominican of the third order, taking the name. brother rosario,

He dedicated his life to spreading devotion to the Rosary and helping the poor. In Pompeii, he founded the Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary, now a major pilgrimage site, and founded schools and orphanages.

Bartolo Longo died in 1926 and was beatified in 1980 by Pope John Paul II, who described him as living proof of this. No one is beyond salvation.

Do you know what I keep discovering about these Catholics?

It’s the fact that they constantly focus on almost anything other than Jesus Christ.

did you see?

Even in the above biography and in this post on X, did you see what he became known for?

did you catch it?

Besides being known as a former Satanic priest, he was best known for being “devoted to the Rosary”.

Not dedicated to Jesus Christ.

Dedicated to the rosary.

And I know, I know Catholics, I can read your comments before I even type: “But Noah, the rosary is also about Jesus, so it’s all the same thing and all right!”

If that’s you, then you do so, but as far as I and my house are concerned we will worship and follow Jesus Christ. We are not going to replace the Rosary or the saints or Mary or the Catholic Church.

We won’t even ask the “saints” to pray for us:

1 Timothy 2:5 (KJV):

“For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, Christ Jesus.”

We do not pray to saints…

We pray to God in the name of Jesus Christ, it’s actually quite simple and quite clearly described in the Bible.

Anyway, here are more details from NY Post On these new “saints”:

Pope Leo XIV on Sunday canonized seven religious figures who were posthumously canonized, including a former Satanic priest turned Catholic legend.

More than 70,000 spectators came to the Vatican to witness the historic canonization, the second such event since Pope Leo XIV was elected as the new leader of the Catholic Church in May.

Famous figures included former Satanic priest Bartolo Longo, an Italian lawyer who returned to Catholicism and even helped found the Pontifical Shrine of the Blessed Virgin of the Rosary of Pompeii.

Longo, who died in 1926 at the age of 85, deviated from the Catholic Church for the first time in life after losing his mother.

Around the same time, the former deputy of the Kingdom of Italy, Giuseppe Garibaldi, was pushing for the abolition of the papal city states in order to unify Italy.

Soon, Longo became involved in witchcraft, which was not as sophisticated then as it is now. He soon rose to a high-ranking priesthood within the Satanic Church and presided over various services and rituals for over a year, including pledging himself to Satan.

But his departure from Catholicism was short-lived. According to the Dominican Friars Foundation, he dedicated himself to the Church with renewed vigor thanks to his family and a professor at the University of Naples, where he was attending his law certification at the time.

Before being promoted to sainthood, Longo was already informally considered a patron saint of people who were struggling with their own spirituality.

Other newly canonized figures in the lineup include an archbishop killed during the Armenian Genocide, a lay catechist from Papua New Guinea, Venezuela’s “doctor of the poor” and three nuns who dedicated their lives to charity.

Meet Carlo Acutis, known as the “Influential Man of God” for all the great work he does online to spread the message of the Catholic Church.

Good on him! Looks like a very nice kid. Although I disagree with some of the behavior of the Catholic Church, he seems to have been a really great kid, and sadly he died of cancer at the age of 15.

He is now canonized by Leo from the South:

I don’t know an iota about Catholicism, but I believe that to become a saint you have to perform two miracles.

So what were his?

Once again, I don’t want to diminish the fact that this seems like a great kid, but it seems a little deceiving to me:

the child in question is carlo acutisA 15-year-old Italian teenager (born in London) who died of leukemia in 2006 and was recently canonized as the Catholic Church’s first millennium saint on September 7, 2025.

Two miracles are officially attributed to his intercession, paving the way for his sainthood:

The Brazilian Boy Treatment (2012):
a young boy named Matthew Vianawho suffered from a rare pancreas disorder that caused severe vomiting and prevented him from eating less (which left him underweight and at risk of death), visited Acutis’ grave in Assisi, Italy. After touching a relic and praying, the boy was immediately healed, and was able to eat normally without any further problems. Medical tests in 2014 confirmed complete healing, which the Vatican recognized as a miracle in 2020, leading to Acutis being beatified.

Treatment of Costa Rican Student (2022):
valeria valverdeA 21-year-old university student from Costa Rica suffered a severe traumatic brain injury in a bicycle accident in Florence, Italy, leaving her in a coma with little chance of survival. His mother went to Acutis’ tomb in Assisi to pray for his recovery. Shortly afterward, Valeria began breathing on her own, regained consciousness, and made a full recovery, despite initial dire medical predictions. The Vatican approved it as a second miracle in 2024, allowing Acutis to be canonized.

My real beef?

Who is getting the glory amidst all this?

Have you seen Jesus mention Chris even once?

Or is it that a 15-year-old boy and his “magical” grave are getting so much glory?

Hmm….

Then there’s this – apparently, during the ceremony he claimed that St. Carlo is now in the sky among the constellations:

Hmm, ok.

Again, I keep missing any references to Jesus Christ, but maybe that’s just me.

Magic tomb? check.

Star worship? check.

Making humans saints? check.

Jesus Christ? missing.

Then there is this:

Oh my God, so now he’s just “on display” for all eternity?

Then, so that people can go meet him and marvel at him?

Does the glory go to him or to Jesus?

And what kind of magic is required to preserve a body like this and keep it in good condition without decay for years to come? Pretty scary if you ask me.

more than here cnn,

An Italian teenager who loved playing video games and making funny movies of his pets became the Catholic Church’s first “millennial” saint on Sunday.

Carlo Acutis, who died of leukemia in 2006 when he was just 15, used his computing skills to spread awareness of the Catholic faith and set up a website documenting reports of miracles.

Nicknamed the “Influential Man of God”, he is seen as a pioneer of the church’s evangelistic efforts in the digital world.

Often depicted wearing jeans, T-shirt and sneakers, Acutis looks very different from the saints of old and has gained global popularity as a relatable saint among young people.

His canonization took place alongside another young man, Pier Giorgio Frascati, who died in 1925 at the age of 24. The saint-making ceremony was presided over by Pope Leo XIV, the first American pontiff, and included thousands of young people in St. Peter’s Square.

A large crowd gathered in Vatican City on Sunday, waving signs and flags bearing Acutis’ image. Excited observers applauded after Pope Leo canonized the teen.

The canonization of young saints comes at a time when the Catholic Church, which is led by all men where senior figures are usually over 60, is looking for new ways to include younger generations. The crisis involving clerical sexual abuse of minors and vulnerable adults has had a devastating impact on the credibility of the Church.

But while long-term trends in the West suggest that young people are increasingly turning away from mainstream religion, recent surveys and anecdotal evidence point to an increase in interest in Catholicism among Gen Z in the United States and Europe.

Acutis’ mother, Antonia Salzano, says she believes her son’s life and faith resonate with a generation of young people, particularly those grappling with the complexities of the digital world.

“Carlo is a message of hope, because Carlo says, ‘Yes, you have to use (the Internet) for good.’ That’s why Pope Francis called Carlo an influential man of God,” he told CNN in Assisi earlier this year.

His son, he said, knew the “dark side” of the Internet and was conscious of his addiction to video games, preferring to play on his PlayStation for only an hour a week.
