Police arrested 3 drug pedals including women in Baramullah; Reciprocity

Continuing its efforts to eradicate the danger of drugs from the society, the Baramulla police arrested three drug pedals including a woman and recovered a significant amount of controlled substances from their possession.

A police party of Police Station Crary, headed by SHO PS Kreeri, established a checkpoint in the Czech Crary. During checking, a Baleno vehicle bearing registration number DL5CN 7586 was intercepted.

The vehicle was occupied by two persons; Bushra Bukhari, wife of Syed Hilal Bukhari, resident of Peer Mohalla Crary, Faizan Bukhari, son of Bashir Ahmed Bukhari, resident of Vani Mohalla Creri.

On searching, 78 grams and 55 grams of charas-like substances and 30 strips and 30 strips and 30 strips of Tapentadol HCL were recovered from their possession. Both the accused were taken into custody, and the vehicle used in the commission of crime was confiscated. Under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act, a case under FIR NR 54/2025 has been registered at Police Station Crary and further investigation is underway.

Similarly, a police party of the Police Post Palhalan, headed by IC PP Palhalan, established a checkpoint in the NHW tapper. During the investigation, a truck bearing registration number JK05A-2377 was intercepted.

The vehicle was operated by Mohammad Ashraf Kumar by Mohammad Subhan Kumar’s resident of Brahmin Rohma. On searching, a 250 grams of poppy -like substance -like substance was recovered from its possession.

He was arrested and the vehicle was confiscated. Under Section 8/15 of the NDPS Act, a case under FIR NR 131/2025 has been registered in police station pattern and further investigation is on.

The Baramulla police urged the general public to be vigilant and reported any example of drug pedaling or other criminal activities at the nearest police station or by dialing 112. Community cooperation is important in our ongoing battle against drug threat. According to Baramulla police law, strict action is committed to take strict action against criminals.
