PM reaches out to Uttar Pradesh voters as he launches infrastructure blitz in Azamgarh

Azamgarh:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while launching projects worth Rs 34,000 crore in Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh, said his government is committed to ensuring development across the country. Addressing a rally, he said there was a time when there was no development in this part of the country, but that has changed now.

“Azamgarh is sparkling today. Once an event was held in Delhi and people from other states participated. Today, the event is held in Azamgarh and people from all over the country participate,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi said.

“People in the previous government used to issue announcements to deceive the people… When I analyzed it, I found out that the announcements were made 30-35 years ago. They used to put up signs before the elections and then they disappeared and the leaders disappeared too. ..Modi is seen across the country today doosri mitti ka insaan hai (Modi is cut from a different cloth),” he added.

During the event, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated airports in Azamgarh, Shravasti, Chitrakoot and Aligarh as well as the Maharaja Suhel Dev State University in Azamgarh, which was constructed at a cost of Rs 108 crore. The infrastructure blitz is just weeks away from the Lok Sabha elections, the dates of which are expected to be announced soon.

However, the Prime Minister said these projects must not be linked to elections, adding that he has accelerated development work to realize his dream of a developed India by 2047.

“As Uttar Pradesh continues to climb the development heights, the venom of appeasement is weakening… Hence, ‘parivarvaadi’ people are confused and insulting Modi every day. They say Modi does not have a family of his own. They have forgotten this in the country 1.4 billion people are ‘Modi Ka Parivar’,” he said.

Expressing his gratitude, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who was present at the event, said: “What was the identity of Azamgarh 10 years ago? Today, Prime Minister Modi has transformed it by injecting investments. Azamgarh is notorious for crime and mafia activities. Projects worth crores of rupees.

“In the past decade, Azamgarh has not only gained a safe environment but also witnessed the development of modern infrastructure. We are grateful to Prime Minister Modi for this transformative journey,” he said.

Prime Minister Modi also inaugurated the new terminal at the Chaudhry Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow. The terminal covers an area of 1,11,367 square meters, including a spacious basement, corridors connecting T2 and 13 terminals, and handles more than 13 million passengers every year.

The estimated construction cost is Rs 1,383 crore. The new terminal has 75 check-in counters, 18 check-in kiosks, 30 elevators and 5 escalators. The design and interiors, led by Pascal and Watson, showcase the culture and heritage of Uttar Pradesh.

Lucknow International Airport Limited has partnered with the Adani Group to lease the airport for 50 years. As part of the agreement, LIAL pays a per passenger fee (PPF) to the Airports Authority of India (AAI) for every domestic and international passenger using the airport.
