Himachal Pradesh Congress president Pratibha Singh today claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not provide help during the worst monsoon disaster in Himachal Pradesh, but Union Minister Nitin Gadkar Most of the issues related to national highways in the state have been resolved.

“Himachal faced its worst-ever natural disaster during the monsoon, but the Center did not provide special financial assistance. However, she said Union Transport and Highways Minister Gadkari was very helpful.

Ms Singh, who had earlier maintained that workers were demoralized, said today, “Congress workers are proactive and well prepared for the elections and the party will win all the Lok Sabha seats and the Himachal Pradesh Assembly by-elections .”

Pratibha Singth, wife of former chief minister Virbhadra, said: “We have won the Assembly elections and will win the Lok Sabha polls and Assembly by-elections because our workers will Go door to door and tell the government’s achievements,” said Singh and the mother of Himachal Pradesh Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh.

Earlier, Congress workers were frustrated after Pratibha Singh refused to contest the Lok Sabha elections, claiming the situation on the ground was “unfavorable”.

However, her sentiments softened later when the BJP announced Kangana Ranaut as its candidate for the Mandi Lok Sabha seat and said she would follow the directives of the Congress party’s central leadership.

She also insisted that the people want people from the Virbhadra family to contest the elections.
