PM Modi to inaugurate various projects during Goa visit on February 6

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Wednesday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of various projects during his visit to Goa on February 6.

“The Prime Minister will participate in the India Energy Week event in South Goa. He will address a government function in Margao city and inaugurate seven developmental projects,” Sawant told reporters.

The projects to be inaugurated by Modi include the National Institute of Technology campus at Cuncolim, the Indian Institute of Water Sports at Dona Paula, the Commandant Navy College at Betim, a solid waste treatment plant at Curchorem and a 100 MLD water treatment plant at Selaulim. Dam, he said.

“The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for a ropeway project to be built at Reis Magos Fort near Panaji and a 3D building to be built at Patto,” Sawant said.

He said beneficiaries of various government programs including Mera Bharat, Aam Nagrik Kendra, Grameen Mitra, Forest Rights Act and others will be honored at the ceremony attended by the PM.
