Prime Minister Narendra Modi was awarded the Grand Cross of the highest honor order in Cyprus by President Nicos Christodaulides at the President’s Palace of Nicosia on Monday.

Makros III, the highest merit honor honored in Cyprus, is named after Makaros III, the first chairman of the Republic of Cyprus. It is provided to the heads of the state and other people of the important situation in the recognition of meritorious service for the nation.
