In 2013, 54-year-old BJP state general secretary ‘Auditor’ V Ramesh was hacked to death by an unidentified gang at his home in Maravaneri area of ​​Salem town.

The Prime Minister also remembered former Tamil Nadu BJP chief Lakshmanan and said his role in the anti-Emergency movement was unforgettable.

“Lakshmanan Ji’s role in the anti-Emergency movement and participation in socio-cultural activities will always be remembered. His contribution to the expansion of the BJP in the state is unforgettable. He added that he is still Many schools were founded in the state.”

KN Lakshmanan passed away in June 2020 at his residence in Sevvaipettai, Salem due to age-related issues.

The Prime Minister also said that his government has made efforts to ensure development of Tamil Nadu.

“Our government is leaving no stone unturned to ensure the development and prosperity of Tamil Nadu. From free healthcare to providing piped water connections to households, from free ration facilities to benefiting Tamil Nadu women through MUDRA Yojana, we are ensuring that Tamil Nadu Women of Nadu help. During the 2019 general elections, the Dravida Munnetra Kazagam-led Secular Progressive Alliance comprising INC, VCK, MDMK, CPI, CPI(M), IUML, MMK, KMDK, TVK, AIFB achieved a landslide victory, winning 38 seats . 39 seats.

In 2019, the DMK won 23 Lok Sabha seats with 33.2% of the vote, the Congress won 8 seats with 12.9% of the vote, and the Communist Party of India won 2 seats in Tamil Nadu. CPI(M) won one seat, IML won one seat and independents won two seats.

PMK, a party that mainly represents Tamil Nadu’s Vanniya minority, is the second major alliance partner of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, contesting seven alliance seats. The party’s vote share was 5.42%, not even a single seat.

In 2014, PMK’s vote share increased slightly from 4.4% in 8 seats to 5.42% in 7 seats. Anbumani Ramadoss was elected unopposed in 2019 and is currently a member of the House of Representatives.

Tamil Nadu will go to polls on April 19 for all 39 Lok Sabha seats in the first phase. Counting will take place on June 4.
