Visakhapatnam:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will roll out two more Vande Bharat Express trains from Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday (March 12) via video conferencing.

Two new trains will operate between Visakhapatnam-Puri and Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad. With this, the total number of Vande Bharat Express trains operating from Visakhapatnam will reach three.

During this period, Prime Minister Modi will also inaugurate the completed doubling project of some railway lines and other infrastructure development projects, which will enhance railway connectivity and contribute to the overall development of the region.

The department’s ‘One Stop One Product’ stall will also be dedicated to the nation by the Prime Minister.

Divisional Railway Manager (Voltai Division) Saurabh Prasad said that of the two Vande Bharat trains, one will run between Visakhapatnam and Bhubaneswar and the other will run between Visakhapatnam and Running between Secunderabad.

“The two new Vande Bharat Express trains are complementary to the existing services on this route,” DRM Prasad told ANI.

As of now, 41 Vande Bharat train services are operating on Indian Railways, connecting states with the broad gauge (BG) electrified network. These Vande Bharat Express trains cover 24 states and 256 districts.

The Ministry of Railways has launched the One Stop One Product (OSOP) scheme to promote the Government of India’s vision of ‘Voice for Local’, provide a market for local and indigenous products and create additional income opportunities for marginalized sections of the society.
