Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has said that the consecration of Ram Lalla’s idol in the newly constructed temple in Ayodhya was a historic event and announced that places associated with the Hindu deity in the state will be developed as popular tourist destinations.

Speaking to reporters on Monday night, he said the huge statue consecration ceremony in the Uttar Pradesh city heralds the advent of ‘Ram Rajya’, an ancient concept that denotes a harmonious society without discrimination.

“The Ram Mandir idol consecration ceremony was a historic event. The places in Madhya Pradesh where Lord Ram placed his feet will be developed as tourist destinations,” he said at his official residence here, which was lit with 11,101 ‘diyas’ (lamps) on the occasion of the inauguration of the Ram temple. Was illuminated and drenched in religious fervor.

“Good governance has been established under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The arrival of ‘Ram Rajya’ in true sense. About 142 crore people stood with the government and set an example of communal harmony.

Yadav congratulated the citizens of the country on the occasion of consecration of the statue of Ramlala in Ayodhya. The Chief Minister worshiped Lord Ram, lit sparklers and raised slogans of “Jai Shri Ram” at his house, which was decorated.

Earlier in the day, he witnessed the consecration ceremony virtually from the Ram Raja temple in Orchha town in Niwari district. Yadav was accompanied by former chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and both offered prayers at the temple in Orchha, also known as Chhoti Ayodhya.
