Google usually launches two flagship phones every October. This year, the tech giant may opt for a new smartphone launch strategy, launching three models – Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9. Now, a well-known tipster claims that CAD-based renders that surfaced online earlier this year are of the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL. The tipster has now leaked the design of a new Pixel 9 render. These images show the Pixel 9 with dual rear cameras and a smaller screen.

CAD-based renderings of the Google Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro first appeared in January this year. Now, source Steve H.McFly (@OnLeaks) is working with 91Mobiles, claim The previously released renderings were of the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL. The publication has now shared what it calls a CAD image of the regular Pixel 9.

New leaked renders suggest the Pixel 9 will have a compact design with a thick rear camera module. It appears to have rounded corners, a flat display, and a flat frame. It will reportedly feature a 6.03-inch display. Meanwhile, the Pixel 9 Pro is said to feature a 6.1-inch display, and the Pixel 9 XL may feature a 6.5-inch screen. There appears to be a punch-hole cutout in the center of the screen for selfies. The phone comes with dual rear cameras. The Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL are expected to offer a triple rear camera setup.

Additionally, the new report claims that the Pixel 9 will measure approximately 152.8×71.9×8.5mm, with a 12mm rear camera bump.

Google’s Pixel 8 series, which includes the regular Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, was launched last October at the “Made by Google” event. Therefore, the company is expected to release the Pixel 9 phone around the same time this year. The upcoming phone could run Android 15 and use the company’s in-house Tensor G4 SoC.
