A statue of England captain Harry Kane has apparently languished in a warehouse in east London for more than three years, photos show.

The statue’s existence was confirmed last month and was reportedly completed in 2020, a year after it was commissioned by Waltham Forest Council.

The images, first obtained by Big Issue , show metallic textures Kane Sit on the green bench and put the football on your thigh with your left hand.

According to the Guardian, potential sites include Chingford train station and Ridgeway Park, where Walthamstow-born Kane played football as a child.

But the statue’s permanent location has yet to be determined.

The photos, reportedly sent to the committee by Sculpture Machine, caused a stir on social media, with some questioning whether footballers should sit on the bench in this way and others poking fun at its chocolate appearance.

Some have compared it to the much-derided statue cristiano ronaldoUnveiled in 2017 at Madeira Airport, Portugal.
