A pedestrian has been taken to a trauma center after being killed by a vehicle in Markham.
Emergency employees responded to the scene on Markham Road between Denison Street and Steels Avenue East at around 8 am on Monday, where pedestrians were found with significant injuries.
York Regional Police says the road has been closed in both directions for an extended period as investigators work to determine the circumstances around the collision.
No more details about the victim or driver have been released.
