Parker and Wardley faced off in their final press conference on Thursday as the New Zealander vowed to prove he is several levels above his British rival.
Higgins agreed that Parker is the far more skilled fighter and teased Wardley that if he somehow emerged victorious this weekend it would be like winning the lottery for him.
“Is that something that worries me? No. But Wardley took a solid punch,” Higgins admitted. “If luck is on his side, he can buy a lottery ticket, and he can win the fight!”

Higgins was in bullish mood as he outlined Parker’s plan to defeat Wardley before setting his sights on the undisputed heavyweight champion, oleksandr usyk,
Higgins said, “I think this will be our night.” “And then we’re going straight to Usyk and the unified title.”
Higgins’ comments did not sit well with Wardley’s manager, Michael Offo, who hit back by reminding Parker of his three career defeats to Anthony Joshua, Dillian Whyte and Joe Joyce.
“AJ had a lottery ticket, Dillian Whyte had a lottery ticket, Joey Joyce had a lottery ticket. We’ve heard it all before,” Ofo responded.
“The fact is that when Fabio gets in the ring, he knocks them out. No matter how he comes in, by the end of the bell, it’s Fabio Wardley’s raised hand. We believe Fabio can beat any heavyweight out there, and Parker is just part of the story.”
