Now, on Instagram, when one person wrote: “I thought @chattyman was your friend,” the “Only Love Can Hurt Like This” singer replied: “So did I!”

“I’ve talked to him since then, and as a person I find it a fairly easy thing to forgive, so I love him.”

Carr and his fellow traitors – TV presenter Jonathan Ross and singer-songwriter Kat Burns – were tasked with “murdering” a loyalist by touching the face of a celebrity they wanted gone.
It was decided that Carr was the best candidate for the job and, after struggling to touch anyone’s face without causing any suspicion, he pretended to remove a piece of hair from his friend’s cheek.
Faith said she was disappointed to become the first celebrity to be voted off the show. His expulsion came the day after Carr touched his face, with Winkleman revealing that the traitors had hit him with a “slow-acting blast of poison”.

Contestants had to try to guess who the traitors had murdered – and guessed wrongly, comedian Lucy Beaumont. Carr appeared to be under such scrutiny by Ross and he stammered as he delivered his speech.
