Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir will not be able to leave with the national team on Tuesday morning for the three-match T20 series in Ireland due to visa issues. A reliable source in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said that the rest of the team players had got visas for Ireland, but Aamir’s case was delayed due to him serving a jail sentence in the 2010 spot-fixing case. “His visa is still under process due to the 2010 spot-fixing scandal and the subsequent jail sentence and ban,” the source said.

He said the PCB had faced a similar problem in 2018 when Pakistan went to Ireland and England but Aamir was later issued a visa.
