The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 is heading towards an interesting conclusion to the league stage with all the teams having played 10 or more games. While two teams, Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals (with 16 points each) have entered the playoffs, there is a tough fight for the remaining two spots. Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Lucknow Super Giants are at third, fourth and fifth positions with 12 points each. Delhi Capitals is at sixth position in the table with 10 points.

Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings and Gujarat Titans are placed seventh, eighth and ninth with eight points each. Mumbai Indians are at the bottom with six points.

Punjab Kings, one of the four teams who are yet to win the IPL, have faced some disappointment. They had a poor season due to injuries to regular captain Shikhar Dhawan, while they also lost some close games.

On Instagram, a fan asked Punjab Kings co-owner Preity Zinta about her season so far.

“Obviously, not very happy. We lost four games on the last ball. We lost our captain due to injury. Some games were fantastic and some were not as expected. We will do well in the future only if we Will win our home matches.” Preity Zinta wrote in response to that post, “Thank you very much to our fans for supporting us in all difficult times.”

On a separate question, Zinta said that she wanted her team to perform better at the luxurious Mullanpur Stadium.

“It’s a fantastic stadium and hopefully next year we’ll have more covers for people to shade,” he wrote on We can win the match and take home advantage.” ,

He was also asked to comment on Virat Kohli. To this he replied, “I love his aggression on the field and his desire to win! I also love the way he loves his family and his dance moves. When he first came to the IPL, I had seen a lot of his dance moves.” ,
