Jammu, July 7: A special court in Jammu on Monday allowed the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to remand two accused of 10 and days, who were arrested for allegedly harassing Pakistani militants involved in the deadly Pahgam terror attack in April, said officials said.
Officials said after the end of the earlier 10-day remand, Parviz Ahmed Joti and Bashir Ahmed Jothar were produced before the Special NIA court, which extended their remand to enable the NIA to enable their investigation into the case, said the officials said.
Both were arrested on 22 June and the next day was presented in a local court in Jammu. The court initially gave a five -day remand to the NIA before transferring the case to a special court.
According to the NIA, the accused revealed the identity of the three armed terrorists involved in the attack and confirmed that he was a Pakistani citizen-affiliated Pakistani citizen to the banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (late).
The federal agency alleged that Parviz and Bashir had deliberately harassed terrorists in a seasonal ‘Dhok’ (Hat) in Hill Park in Pahgam before the April 22 attack, in which 26 people, most of the tourists, mostly dead and 16 others were injured.
Both provided food, shelter and logistic support to the terrorists, who, on the basis of their religious identity, selected, selected and killed, which is one of the most terrible terrorist attacks in the recent memory, Nia said, because it continues its investigation into the terrorist network behind the massacre in the tourism hub of Kashmir.
