Iyer, on the other hand, leads Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL. Under his leadership, KKR have completed two matches so far.

Iyer was in the news recently for losing the BCCI central contract. He has had a tough month ahead of the IPL but the KKR skipper said he wants to put all these negative thoughts aside and focus on what is in store for him.

“I don’t want to think about what the doctor said, what the injury was, because as I mentioned before, when you think too much, you focus on the injury and, in that moment, forget what you’re doing. Try your best. And for,” Iyer told the media before the team’s first match against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

“So, I want to put all those things aside and focus on what’s on the plate,” the skipper clarified his priorities.
