three surviving founding members rock band’s Kiss reunited earlier this week for a tribute to their former guitarist, ace frehleyTo lay to rest in an intimate memorial service in the Bronx, New York.

A month before his death, he had a fall at home, which reportedly resulted in him being placed on life support due to a cerebral hemorrhage. The exact cause of death has yet to be determined, although toxicology reports are currently underway.
On Wednesday, radio personality Eddie Trunk shared a photo of Frehley’s memory card on Instagram PostIn the caption, he said it was “an emotional few days saying goodbye to a rock icon and longtime friend.”
He wrote that “all the services went as well as possible” and were attended by “a small group of family and close friends”, including Frehley’s original KISS bandmates, gene Simmons, paul stanley And Peter Criss.
He added, “It was an honor to be invited to attend and participate and see some old friends and make some new friends while celebrating Ace. His family has given me permission to do a tribute show/fan festival at some point.”
“It’s something I feel, and many other people feel, it deserves and should happen. There’s nothing to share on it yet, but you’ll definitely know about it when it happens. I think it’s important for Ace’s legacy, his fans, and the countless guitarists he influenced,” he said.
“Again I’ll let you know when there’s some real news and some real plans on this. For now turn up the music and remember and celebrate Ace for all he gave us and left with us.”
It’s been more than 10 years since Simmons, 76, Stanley, 73, Criss, 79, and Frehley made their last joint public appearance at the 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
In 1973, the four-piece KISS was formed. Between 1974 and 1975, he released three albums (Kiss, hotter than hell And dressed to kill), which created a cult of fans who called themselves the “Kiss Army”.

Their mainstream commercial success came with their 1975 live album alive!which went four times platinum and gave the band their first Top 40 hit with a live version of the previous single “Rock and Roll All Night”. Frehley’s crazy game continues alive! Would become an important influence on a generation of young guitarists.
By 1978, all four band members released solo records of the same name, with Frehley becoming the biggest seller. In the early 1980s, when Chris left the band and Stanley and Simmons formed a stronger unit, Frehley found himself sidelined. On the band’s 1982 “Creatures of the Night” tour, he was replaced by guitarist Vinnie Vincent.
Despite leaving the group due to creative differences, Frehley and Chris rejoined KISS for a successful reunion tour from 1996 to 2002.
Frehley’s final performance with the band was at the closing ceremony of the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Following his death, Stanley and Simmons issued a joint statement. “We are devastated by the passing of Ace Frehley,” he said. “He was an essential and irreplaceable rock soldier during some of the most formative foundational chapters of the band and its history. He is and will always be a part of Kiss’s legacy.
“Our thoughts are with Janet, Monique, and everyone who loved them, including our fans around the world.”
