Provincial police say they are investigating another rock-showing incident in the Niagra region, which is the latest in a series of incidents with rocks thrown on passing vehicles.
Investigators with the Niagara region of Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say the latest incidents took place around 7 am on Thursday morning near Queen Elizabeth Way and Mountain Road.
Opp sgt. Kerry Schmid said that the witnesses saw two or three people throwing stones from the railway overpass.
Police say a vehicle was damaged, but no injuries.
Schmid said in a video post on X, “This is a very serious matter, resulting in serious injuries or even ambush, depending on what comes through someone’s windshield because they are going below the highway, it is unaware that someone is committing mischief from above.”

Earlier this week, OPP said they were investigating Rock-spending series of events In the same area of Quv near Mountain Street, as well as in Pine Street with highway 406 and highway 58.
In each case, the rocks were reportedly thrown on passing vehicles. The police have not confirmed any injury at this time.
Motor drivers are being asked to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity near overpass or highway embankments.
