“Operation Shield”: A comprehensive mock drill was successfully held in Srinagar

Srinagar, May 31:- As a part of ‘Operation Shield’, a Civil Defense Mock Drill was organized at the Amar Navas Complex on Saturday to assess the ground preparation about the emergency reaction in Srinagar district.

This exercise Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-din occurred in the presence of Bhat, who is also the Chairman of the District Disaster Management Authority in handling readiness and addressing important intervals in Srinagar district.

Several civil defense services personnel participated in mock drills as part of nationwide practice to test and strengthen preparations.

‘Operation Shield’ is designed to follow hostile situations, including air red sirens, blackout protocols and various emergency response tasks, to evaluate preparations for civil officials, emergency services and local population.

The drill was also aimed at repeating real -time scenario, which can arise from potential external threats, ensure any troublesome conditions other than measures being taken to further strengthen the civil security system, to ensure important infrastructure and security of civil security.

Drills are expected to improve inter-agency coordination, public awareness, and administration capacity to react rapidly and efficiently in any hostile act or natural disasters’ positions rapidly and efficiently and test the effectiveness of the security protocol.
