A shocking video has surfaced from Telangana where two female policemen are seen dragging a protesting student by her hair. The student is reportedly a member of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), a student group affiliated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and was protesting against the Congress-led state government. The video of the incident is being shared widely on social media.

According to visuals, two female policemen riding a scooter chased a young college student while she was running away. As she runs a few steps, the policewoman sitting behind her grabs her hair, causing her to fall on the road.

The students were protesting against the Telangana government led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy over its recent decision to allot the land of Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) professor Jaishankar for the construction of the new High Court complex.

BJP, BRS demand strict action

Soon after the video went viral, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) demanded strict action against the culprits and requested the Ministry of Women and Child Development and the Human Rights Commission to look into the matter.

He also urged the Human Rights Commission to “take prompt and strict action against those involved”.
