Olivia Colman opens up about Hollywood’s pay gap

Olivia Colman claims she would have been paid “much more” if she were an actress, while speaking out about the pay gap in Hollywood.

When the actress and producer recently appeared on CNN On “The Amanpour Hour,” she opened up about the pay disparity she sees in the film and television industry.

“Don’t get me started on the pay differential, but male actors were paid more because they used to say they had an audience,” crown said the actress. “The reality is that this hasn’t been the case for decades, but they still like to use it as a reason not to pay women as high as their male counterparts.”

Afterwards, host Christiane Amanpour asked Coleman if she had personally experienced wage inequality, despite being an Oscar-winning actress who has appeared in many hit films. Beloved son, ear plugger, father, and missing daughter.
