Oliver Hudson recalls infidelity with wife Erinn Bartlett

Oliver Hudson is opening up about the early stages of his marriage to Erinn Bartlett.

Oliver, 47, revealed in the latest episode of He and His Sister that he was unfaithful to his wife, 51, before they got married in 2006. Kate Hudson’s sibling orgy podcast.

“When I got engaged, something happened psychologically, my mood spiraled, I was unfaithful, I cheated, I went crazy,” Oliver told guest Robin Lively.

“I’ve never been caught,” he explained. “I told her everything because I couldn’t accept my weight and get married and have children.”

Oliver admitted Bartlett was a “wonderful woman” and said he had to overcome some “psychological” issues.

“My mother also played a big role in that,” Oliver continued. “It’s about the totality and totality of the relationship, not just the behavior. While this may seem extreme, let’s dig into the reasons and look at the whole person, not this pain.”

Oliver declared that he considered himself a “good guy” with “no ill intentions.”

“I’m going through everything that I’m going through and we’re able to go to some kind of therapy and get everything done and get through it,” he said. “Honestly, I don’t know who I would be if that hadn’t happened. So would I regret it? I mean no, I guess not. I regret causing pain. I didn’t want to cause any pain. People have any pain.”

Lively asked him if he regretted anything, which sparked a discussion about his relationship with Bartlett.

“Regret is a funny word,” Oliver said. “I’m not sure I have a lot of regrets because if I didn’t do that, it was a choice I made, whether it was positive or negative. Overall, I’ve made some terrible choices in my life… … You might think I regret doing that, but I don’t know who I would be if I hadn’t made that choice.”
