Ola Electric has recently released the MoveOS 4 software update for its electric scooters.

Most of the premium models are expected to receive the newly introduced software via over-the-air (OTA) updates in the next few days.

Thanks to the latest update, the MoveOS software now gets a navigation feature called Ola Maps. This is an in-house system that involves the company’s Hypercharger network and will no doubt make the ride more convenient. The update enables two more new features – ‘Find my scooter’ and ‘Share location from the app.’

Launching MoovOS 4, Ola has also introduced a ride journal where riders can keep track of things like average speed, battery usage, range, efficiency, money saved and distance covered on each trip. Ola has also implemented an anti-theft alarm in the recent software update to enhance the security features of its electric two-wheelers. According to the company, they have adapted this technology to prevent various ways in which people steal scooters.

Another notable feature of MoveOS 4 is biometric application lock. This system enables Ola scooter owners to keep the application safe from unnecessary interference. Only they will be able to access the software by scanning their face or fingerprints.

The recent update to MoveOS brings a number of additional features, including Garage Mode, Care Mood, Concert Mode, Profile Control, Advanced Proximity Unlock, Hill Hold and Hill Descent Control, headphone controls for music and calls, Take-Me-Home Light, and an option to Is. Steps to download MoveOS 4 in Ola electric scooter

Go to ‘Ola Electric’ app on the scooter and connect to a Wi-Fi network

When the connection is established, enable the ‘Auto Download’ feature from system settings

MoveOS 4 is the third major software update released by Ola Scooters in the last two years. The last two versions were launched in 2022. MoveOS 4 was initially scheduled to be introduced in December last year, but was delayed for unknown reasons.
