In a horrific road accident in Patiya, Bhubaneswar, two people were seriously injured when a car dragged a two-wheeler for about a kilometer. The accident happened on Wednesday night.

According to the information, the car suddenly hit a scooter and the two-wheeler driver fell to the ground. He was injured and was quickly taken to hospital.

The vehicle reportedly hit another person before hitting the scooter, who was also taken to hospital.

According to a video of the incident that went viral on social media, a car with an Uttar Pradesh license plate number can be seen towing the two-wheeler.

The video footage shows the car continuing to drive about 1 km towards Nandankanan, dragging the motorcycle along with it.

Passersby and locals tried to get behind the four-wheeler and tried to stop it, but the driver did not stop and continued towing the motorcycle.

Inspector-in-charge of Patiya Information City police station told India Today that the driver of the car has been identified and appropriate action will be taken against him. Police said further investigation is ongoing.

Meanwhile, in another such incident, four students were killed and eight were killed when their school bus collided with a tractor near Alagur village in Jamkandi taluk of the district on Monday. People get hurt.

Police said students aged 13 to 17 years of Vardhaman Mahaveer Educational Society in Alagur city were returning from Kavatagi village when the accident occurred.
