North Korean state television censors Alan Titchmarsh’s trousers.
On Monday, North Korea’s Central Television was airing a 2010 episode British Broadcasting Corporation Gardening Secrets series, featuring famous gardeners and broadcasters.
The show is said to be a condensed version of the original, with the broadcaster blurring out Mr Titchmarsh’s jeans at one point.
In the scene, Mr. Titchmarsh kneels in the garden tending plants, with a blur effect applied to his legs.
It didn’t hide the fact that he was wearing pants, it just covered them up. The move was first revealed by the BBC.

Blue jeans are said to be a Western icon and have been largely banned since the 1990s, the outlet reported.

It’s unclear how North Korea obtained the TV show, but the country has a history of illegally pirating neutral content such as football matches and other TV shows.
