The Gautam Buddh Nagar police issued a traffic advisory on Tuesday, cautioning commuters about possible disruptions on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway and Yamuna Expressway today.

However, emergency vehicles will be exempted from any diversion, police said.

The traffic police have suggested alternative routes for commuters, including those bound for Delhi, with diversions planned in view of an event in nearby Bulandshahr district. According to officials, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit Bulandshahr today for a BJP event, where Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will also be present along with several state ministers and party leaders.

The general public is informed that a tour program of a very special dignitary is proposed in Bulandshahr district on Thursday (January 25). In view of this, in case of any emergency in Commissionerate Gautam Buddh Nagar, traffic may be diverted for a short period on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway and Yamuna Expressway,” the police said in an advisory. Police said emergency vehicles will be allowed to pass safely during the traffic diversion and urged commuters to use alternative routes to avoid inconvenience.

“In case of traffic inconvenience, commuters can contact the traffic helpline number 9971009001,” the police said in the advisory. “Diversions on the two major expressways can be done only when necessary. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Anil Kumar Yadav told PTI that the diversion has been announced to ensure that passengers choose alternative routes and are spared any inconvenience.

According to Thursday’s diversion plan, traffic going from Chilla red light towards Greater Noida via the expressway will be diverted from Sector 14A flyover to Sector 15 roundabout and will be able to go towards the destination via DSC route. The advisory said that traffic going from DND towards Greater Noida via the expressway will be diverted towards Rajnigandha Chowk in Sector 16. This traffic will be able to go towards the destination through MP-01 route and DSC route.

Similarly, the traffic going from Kalindi border towards Greater Noida via expressway will be diverted towards Sector 37 from Mahamaya flyover. This traffic will be able to go towards the destination through MP-03 route and DSC route. Traffic going from Sector 37 via the expressway towards Greater Noida will be diverted to the double service road from Sector 44 roundabout. This traffic will be able to reach its destination through double service road through DSC route.

Those going from Greater Noida to Noida via the expressway will be diverted towards Sector 94 from Charkha intersection. This traffic will be able to reach its destination via Mahamaya flyover via Sector 37. There will be a diversion for the passengers going from Kalindi Border towards DND from Dalit Prerna Sthal Parking Tiraha/Chilla, Mahamaya Flyover towards Sector 37. This traffic will be able to reach the destination from Sector 37 via DSC route, MP-03 route.

Traffic going from GIP Mall towards DND via Filmcity flyover will be diverted with a U-turn under the Filmcity flyover. According to the advisory, this traffic will be able to go towards the destination through DSC route and elevated route. Those going towards Delhi via DND flyover from Rajnigandha side will be diverted from Rajnigandha Chowk. It has been said that this traffic will be able to go towards the destination through DSC route from New Ashok Nagar border.

Similarly, traffic going towards Delhi via Golchakkar Chowk Sector 15 to Sector 14A flyover will be diverted from Golchakkar Chowk. This traffic will be able to go towards the destination through DSC route from New Ashok Nagar border. In Greater Noida, traffic going from Zero Point via Yamuna Expressway will be diverted towards Pari Chowk. This traffic will be able to reach its destination via Kasna Town, Sirsa, Eastern Peripheral Expressway.

The advisory said that the traffic coming from Agra towards Noida will be able to descend towards Jewar city before Jewar Toll Plaza and will be able to go towards the destination via Khurja Bypass via Sabauta Underpass via Jahangirpur. Additionally, those traveling from Pari Chowk towards Noida via Noida-Greater Noida Expressway will be diverted from Pari Chowk towards Sujpur. This traffic will be able to reach its destination from Surajpur via Greater Noida West.
