The BAPS Hindu temple, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Abu Dhabi last month, was opened to the public today.this temple website A series of visitor guidelines have also been published, including what types of clothing are preferred, what is prohibited and photography rules.
“Cover the area of the body between the neck, elbows and ankles. Hats, T-shirts and other clothing with offensive designs are not allowed. Do not wear translucent or tight-fitting clothing. Avoid clothing and accessories that create distractions force noise or reflection,” the guidance states.
Pets are also not allowed inside the temple premises. No outside food and drinks are allowed inside the temple. Furthermore, the use of drones is strictly prohibited inside the temple.
Temple authorities said these guidelines must be followed “to maintain a peaceful atmosphere and ensure orderly management of our premises”.
The iconic structure is the first Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi and was built by Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) on 27 acres of land in Abu Mureikhah, near Dubai-Abu Dhabi Al Rahba near Hezayed Highway is about 7 billion rupees.
Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the architectural marvel on February 14 at a grand ceremony attended by nearly 5,000 people.

The temple is built in the Nagara style of architecture using sandstone and marble.
The BAPS Hindu Temple in Abu Dhabi is the largest Hindu temple in the Gulf. There are at least 3.5 million Indians in the UAE who form part of the Indian workforce in the Gulf, and there are three other Hindu temples in Dubai.
