'No need to worry': DK Shivakumar after Bengaluru cafe blast

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Friday said the Rameshwaram cafe blast is being investigated from all angles, adding 7-8 teams have been formed to probe the incident.

He has also asked the people of Bengaluru not to worry.

“It was a low-intensity blast. A youth came and placed a small bag, which exploded after an hour. Around 10 people were injured. 7-8 teams were formed to investigate the incident. We are investigating from all angles. We are doing it. I ask every Bengaluruan not to worry,” he said.

About 10 people have been injured in the Rameshwaram cafe blast in Bengaluru.

Meanwhile, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Tejasvi Surya on Friday said Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah should give a free hand to agencies to investigate the Rameshwaram cafe blast incident, adding that the state government has repeatedly made its statements on the matter. Is changing.

Tejasvi Surya, who represents Bengaluru South constituency in the Lok Sabha, questioned the intentions of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah government over the incident.

A team from the National Investigation Agency also visited the blast site in Whitefield area.

Earlier today, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said the accused involved in the Rameshwaram cafe attack in Bengaluru will be traced and punished, adding that opposition parties should refrain from doing politics over the incident.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, addressing reporters in Mysore, said, “The CCTV footage of the cafe is being examined. It has been found that someone had left a bag in the cafe. The accused in the incident will be punished.”

Stating that “many blasts have taken place in previous governments too,” the Chief Minister said, “This incident has happened in our government. Disciplinary and strict action will be taken against those involved. There should be no politics in this matter.”

Meanwhile, Bharatiya Janata Party leader PC Mohan expressed concern over the blast at Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru and urged the administration to investigate the incident.

In a post on Twitter, PC Mohan, BJP’s Lok Sabha MP from Bengaluru Central, said, “Concerned to hear about the mysterious explosion at Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru Central parliamentary constituency. My thoughts are with the affected persons and their families. Urge authorities to Please investigate and ensure the safety of all citizens. Stay safe, Bengaluru.”
