According to the circular, there is no need for litigants to mention their case before the bench for listing as new cases will get listed automatically.
“All new cases involving liberty of persons and where urgent interim orders are sought where the case is verified after rectifying the defects, will be listed within the next two working days.
“To ensure expeditious disposal of all bail petitions, an advance copy shall be given to the concerned Nodal Officer/Standing Counsel for the respondent “Union of India/State/Union Territory”, the circular said.
According to the circular, in case of exceptionally urgent matter relating to anticipatory bail, death penalty, habeas corpus, eviction/eviction and demolition, which cannot wait to be listed on the scheduled date, the request can be made between 10:00 am to 10:30 am.
“All other categories of new cases will be listed automatically as per the existing practice. The new cases will be listed automatically and as of now there will be no need for the litigants to mention their case before the court for listing.
It says, “No senior counsel shall be allowed to make oral mention before any court. Young junior counsel may be encouraged to make oral mention.”
The circular said that in order to ensure disposal of old regular hearing cases, no letters seeking postponement of such cases listed before the courts will be allowed.
