Rajasthan Royals batsman Jos Buttler scored the winning goal in his 100th match against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Jos’ century came after a long struggle. Before this century, Buttler had scored just 183 runs in his previous 10 IPL games, which included three ducks and 95 against Sunrisers Hyderabad last year.

In the run chase, RR did lose Yashasvi Jaiswal for a duck. But captain Sanju Samson (69 off 42 balls, including 8 fours and 2 sixes) was better than Jos Buttler (100* off 58 balls, 9 of which were 4s and 4 6s), the latter returned to form with a century in his 100th IPL match. Despite some quick wickets later on, RR tied the total with five balls and six wickets in hand.
Reece Topley (2/27) is the bowler for RCB. Yash Dayal and Mohammad Siraj took one wicket each but it was not enough.
Butler won the “Man of the Match” award.
RR are at the top of the table with four wins from four games which has taken them to eight points. RCB are in eighth place with just two points after winning five games.
