Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who recently made a U-turn to join his former ally National Democratic Alliance (NDA), on Thursday said he will stay with the alliance permanently (Ab kabhi idhar udhar nahi hone wale hain).

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a public rally in Jammuj on the same day, Nitish Kumar said: “Woh toh jhooth-mooth ka hum mein ek baar saath kar liye the toh aaj woh baat karta hai” but when I saw that he was doing something wrong, I left them (RJD). Now we are together forever.

Mr Kumar praised the central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying Hindu and Muslim riots had stopped since he came to power.

“PM Modi has been in the central government for 10 years and he has done a lot for Bihar and the country. The Hindu and Muslim riots have stopped since we came to power and I would like to appeal to the Muslim community if you made the mistake of voting for They (opposition), those riots will start again,” the Bihar chief minister said.

Highlighting the Bharat Ratna Award conferred on former Bihar Chief Minister Kapuri Thakur, the Chief Minister said, “You (Prime Minister Modi) have done a lot of work. You will be the leader of Bharat Ratna.” The Ratna Award was given to Kapri Thakur and that was our demand and people will not forget it.” We (NDA) have been working together since 2005 and the work is progressing at a very fast pace. “

Chief Minister Kumar said: “Today, they (RJD) can only talk but when they were in office for 15 years, they did nothing. People could not step out of their homes even after their tenure ended.”

In January this year, top leader of the UP Janata Dal ditched the Mahagathbandhan and the Bloc India to form a new government with the support of the Bihar BJP.

Bihar will hold Lok Sabha polls in seven phases, with the first phase scheduled to be held on April 19. The second phase is scheduled for April 26, the third phase is scheduled for May 7, the fourth phase is scheduled for May 13, the fifth phase is scheduled for May 20, and the fifth phase voting will be on May 25 Held, the seventh and final phase of voting will be held on June 1.
