NIT Srinagar first registered alumni association since first establishment

Srinagar, May 01: National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar has officially registered its alumni association after six decades of establishment of the institute. This step formalize the engagement of alumni for the first time since the establishment of the institute as the Regional Engineering College (REC) Srinagar in 1960.

“This reflects our commitment to make a permanent relationship with our alumni, which is an integral part of our heritage and development. We are ready to support their continuous support in running educational excellence and innovation in the institute,” he said.

Pro. Binod Kumar said that NIT Srinagar is making its mark around the world. Now, with a formal structure in place, the long -funded dream of nourishing and strengthening this bond between NIT Srinagar and alumni has become a reality.

The registrar of the institute, Atikur Rahman, said that the registration of the Alumni Union is an important achievement for NIT Srinagar. He said that this would serve as a structured platform to connect with our alumni and exploit their expertise and experience for the betterment of the institute.

Dean Alumni and International Affairs, Prof. Ma Shah said that Mission is to communicate the goals and achievements of the institute, promoting the spirit of unity, loyalty and shared purpose. In today’s rapidly changing world, it is necessary that we prepare the younger generation to face future challenges with knowledge, vision, courage and sound knowledge.

“This task cannot be completed in isolation – it is a collective responsibility that requires the commitment and support of our extended alumni. Along with this, we must ensure that our graduates are ready to serve humanity with honesty, integrity and honesty,” he said.

Prof. Shah said that alumni can play an important role by providing opportunities to students within their organizations or taking advantage of their network to create new avenues elsewhere.

He said, “This unavoidable partnership will contribute significantly to realizing the vision of Vikit India. Beyond professional opportunities, alumni can have a profound impact through philanthropic contribution – whether it is supported by specific initiatives or financed by financing a wide range of educational and developmental activities,” he said.

Pro. Shah said that strong relations between generations will not only enrich institutions, but will also promote healthy, value-based sociies, where the elderly feel honored and the youth inherit their future guide principles.

“We give deep importance to the participation of our alumni and are ready to support them in all these efforts. As we have been conceived by our thoughtful leaders, we are actively working to establish alumni in various fields, states and countries.

Ltd. serves as Secretary. Dr. Mohammad Murslane, Associate Professor, Mechanical Engineering, Additional Secretary. Prof. as Joint Secretary (i). Manzoor Ahmed Ahangar, and Dr. Shahid Salim is a treasurer.
