Night Srinagar Faculty Bag ₹ 73.92 Lakh Ministry Ministry Grant

Srinagar, August 13: Srinagar, a faculty member of the National Institute of Technology (NIT), has obtained a prestigious research grant of 73,92,450 from the Ministry of Government of India, for the purpose of strengthening the weaving of Jammu and Kashmir through advanced material technology.

The three-year project, titled “the infrastructure of Jammu and Kashmir: corrosion-resistant and high strength 6082 T6 for aluminum alloys for bridges and high structures”, Dr., Dr. Deepak Kumar Naik, Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering Department, Dr. Sandpater (PI), Assistant Professor, Assistant Professor, Assistant Professor, Assistant Professor, Assistant Professor, Assistant Professor, Assistant Professor, Assistant Professor.

Research 6082 T6 will focus on improving the mechanical strength and corrosion resistance of aluminum alloys, making it ideal for demanding infrastructure projects such as bridges, towers and high-growth structures in the center region. Given the challenging climate and terrain of J&K, the project aims to provide durable, safe and cost -effective construction materials.

He said, “The project is a will for our faculty capacity to secure competitive national grants and resolve important engineering challenges. The area will have a direct impact on the quality of infrastructure in the region,” he said.

Registrar of the institute, Prof. Atikur Rahman also praised the achievement, given that such an initiative increases the research stature of the institute and shows how academic expertise can be transmitted to resolve developmental issues.

“This grant is an important milestone that will strengthen the research profile of the institute and strengthen its role in the national infrastructure initiative, especially in Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.

Meanwhile, Dr. Naik thanked the Ministry of Mines for support, given that the funding 6082 T6 would enable state -of -the -art research to increase the properties of aluminum alloys.

Dr. Samantareya highlighted that the result would benefit the infrastructure projects such as bridges, towers and high-growth structures, especially under climatic conditions demanding Jammu and Kashmir.

He further stated that his research group is currently working on many projects focused on the development of Jammu and Kashmir, with a joint price of these initiatives, an amount of ₹ 1.06 crore.
