Nicole Kidman is praising herself by sharing her 41-year-old Hollywood journey with fans.
The 56-year-old Academy Award winner shared a video of her first role on Tuesday, April 27, to commemorate her American Film Institute Lifetime Achievement Award.
The video included highlights from the actress’s first role as Helen in Bush Christmas in 1983.
“This 14-year-old girl could never have guessed how many talented people she would get to work with and how many different characters she would get to play. So excited to celebrate with so many friends and colleagues on Saturday at the @AmericanFilmInstitute xx,” she wrote in the caption.
Kidman’s second role was a breakthrough role as Rae Ingram in Dead Calm (1989).
The Emmy winner followed her post with the institute’s 2023 announcement that she will receive a Life Achievement Award.
“Both a powerful performer, a captivating movie star, and a skilled producer, Nicole Kidman has captivated audiences with complex and versatile on-screen performances throughout her illustrious career,” the AFI press release said.
