In a push for the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to combat the terror ecosystem in Punjab, the special NIA court at SAS Nagar in Mohali ordered the attachment of the property of one of the prime accused in the 2019 Pandori blast-related case in Taranthara Go. orchid village.

The property belongs to Gurjant Singh, the main accused. The court ordered the attachment of the property under Section 33 (1) of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967.

The case (RC-20/2019/NIA/DLI) was registered by the NIA on September 23, 2019, based on the original FIR dated September 5, 2019, of the Tarn Taran police.

The case relates to the terrorist activities of a terrorist gang headed by Bikramjit Singh Panjwal, which was involved in committing terrorist acts and activities in Punjab. The terror gang had planned to attack Dera Muradpur in Tarn Taran as part of its plan to promote violence in the state. However, the explosives hidden for the above purpose exploded prematurely when they were retrieved from their burial ground at Pandori Golan village in Tarn Taran.

Singh was a member of the terror gang and was at the recovery site.

The NIA extradited Panjwal from Austria in December 2022.

The charge sheet was filed on March 11, 2020, followed by a supplementary charge sheet on March 23, 2023.
