Srinagar, June 05 (KDC): The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday discovered the case number RC-05/2022/NIA/JMU in connection with the ongoing investigation at several places in Jammu and Kashmir. The case is related to an alleged terrorist conspiracy associated with suspected overground workers (OGWS) associated with various terrorist groups.
Official sources told Srinagar -based news agency Kashmir.com that the discovery is part of the continuous efforts to investigate the suspected support provided to the terrorist network. Under the investigation, individuals are believed to be assisted to assist in other forms of logistics, information and support.
In Budgam district, NIA teams made a discovery at the residence of Sabur Sultan, son of Mohammad Sultan Sophie in Soibugh. Another discovery was made at the house of Shabir Ahmed Bhat, son of Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, in another search. Similar search was also done in some parts of Kulgam district.
During the discoveries, the authorities examined digital devices, documents and other materials to collect information related to suspicious activities. The agency aims to detect any connection, funding route or logistic network, which may be associated with illegal activities, an officer told the KDC.
So far, no arrests have been made, the officer said. (KDC)
