Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, has released new photos to mark his 60th birthday.

In the photo, the King’s youngest brother, wearing a red jumper and a dark buttoned vest underneath, smiles with his three dogs, a Labrador named Teal, a Moore’s cocker spaniel and a Labrador puppy named Tissell.

The king also named his brother a recipient of the Order of the Thistle, along with anthropologist Professor Sue Black, distinguished lawyer Baroness Helena Kennedy and Sir Geoff Palmer, Scotland’s first black professor.

The Order is Scotland’s highest honor and appointments are made entirely by the King and do not require advice from the Prime Minister.
