Illegal e-cigarettes worth almost £50,000 have been found in an abandoned WWII bunker in Swansea Gardens.

Swansea Council Trading Standards officers, assisted by specially trained tobacco and e-cigarette detection dogs, discovered contraband during a search of a local shop suspected of selling illegal e-cigarettes and counterfeit tobacco.

A search of the bunker behind the store also uncovered a large quantity of counterfeit cigarettes and tobacco.

According to Swansea City Council, the illegal e-cigarettes have a street value of more than £47,000.

The case is currently under investigation and the owner may be charged.
