  • The Ram temple complex area is spread over 70 acres, of which the main temple area is 2.7 acres and the built-up area is approximately 57,400 square feet.
  • The design of the temple is based on the traditional Nagar style. Its length (east-west) is 380 feet; The width is 250 feet and the height is 161 feet; And it is supported by a total of 392 pillars and 44 doors.
  • The 3-storey structure of the temple is being constructed using sandstone from the hills of Bansi-Paharpur area of ​​Mirzapur and Bharatpur district of Rajasthan.
  • The use of steel or iron has been avoided in the construction of the temple structure. Instead, the temple is constructed using the country’s indigenous technology and traditional building materials, aligning with India’s age-old construction practices and demonstrating a commitment to sustainability.
  • The cost of the entire structure is estimated at Rs 1,800 crore. It is being financed by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, which has collected donations of over Rs 3,500 crore from across India and abroad.
  • The idol of Ram Lalla is placed in the main sanctum (sanctum sanctorum) of the temple, which is on the ground floor of the structure.

  • In the south-western part of the temple complex, at Kuber Tila, an ancient temple of Lord Shiva has been renovated, along with a statue of Jatayu.
  • The foundation of the temple is constructed from a 14 meter thick layer of roller-compacted concrete (RCC), giving it the appearance of artificial rock.
  • To protect the ground from moisture, a 21-foot high platform has been constructed using granite.
  • The temple complex has a sewage treatment plant, water treatment plant, water supply for fire protection and an independent power station.
  • To enter the temple through the lion gate, devotees have to climb 32 steps covering a height of 16.11 feet from the ground. Ramps and lifts have been constructed for the convenience of disabled and elderly persons.
