Murder investigation launched after woman found stabbed in home

Police have launched a murder investigation after a woman was found with stab wounds at her Westminster home.

The woman’s friends contacted police on Sunday, fearing for her safety.

Police forced entry to her address in Stanhope Square, W2, at around 8.30am on Monday and found her dead.

No arrests have been made yet.

Detective Chief Inspector Adam Clifton, of the Metropolitan Police’s Specialized Crime Command, said: “I know this news will cause concern and local women in particular may be worried. Our investigation is at an early stage.
