Mumbai police arrest man accused of murder of 63-year-old woman

Mumbai:

A 20-year-old man was arrested at Bhusawal railway station for murdering a 63-year-old woman while she was trying to flee to Bihar in the city, police said on Wednesday.

An official said some of the stolen jewelery was seized from the property of Kanhaiya Kumar Pandit, a domestic help of the deceased Jyoti Shah.

The woman, wife of diamond jeweler Mukesh Shah, was found strangled to death on Tuesday in her home on Nepean Sea Road in the upscale Malabar Hill area of ​​Thane Heights (Tahnee Heights) home in the building.

The accused, who was hired by the king just two days ago, has been missing since the murder came to light, the official said, adding that further investigations were underway.
