Rajkot, Nov 6 (IANS) As part of the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat regional conclaves, the Kutch-Saurashtra region will host an MSME conclave on January 9, 2026, the second day of the two-day event.
The conclave will recognize and honor the excellent performance of micro and small enterprises in 12 districts of the region, with awards given in five major categories – Women Entrepreneurs, Youth Entrepreneurs, Scheduled Caste Entrepreneurs, Scheduled Tribe Entrepreneurs and General Category.
Inspired by the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the launch of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit during his tenure as Chief Minister of Gujarat in 2003, the state government has, for the first time, extended this initiative to the regional level by organizing the summit in four regions of Gujarat.
The Rajkot edition of Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference will cover Kutch, Jamnagar, Dwarka, Porbandar, Junagadh, Morbi, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Surendranagar, Gir-Somnath, Botad and Rajkot districts, featuring seminars, B2B and B2G meetings, exhibitions and vendor development programs.
The MSME Conclave will include panel discussions, exhibitions and workshops focusing on innovation, financing and sustainable development in small-scale industries.
Eligible MSME units that have shown exceptional performance in the financial year 2024-25 can apply for the award through their respective District Industries Centres.
The Industries Department has encouraged maximum participation from the Kutch-Saurashtra region to make the conference a hub of collaboration and recognition for small businesses.
Meanwhile, the ongoing ‘Bharat Parv’ at the Statue of Unity to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel has become a grand showcase of India’s cultural diversity, art and craftsmanship, symbolizing the true spirit of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’.
The event brings together artisans from across India, each representing the unique traditions, flavors and creative expressions of their state.
Among the most acclaimed exhibits is the coconut shell handicrafts of Goa, which have attracted the attention of visitors for their intricate designs and eco-friendly appeal.
National Award-winning Goan artisan Vijaydutt Lotlikar, who participated in the festival, shared, “The response from people in Gujarat has been tremendous. They not only appreciated our art but also bought many of our products. Initiatives like ‘Vocal for Local’ launched by Prime Minister Modi have given Indian artisans a new market and global visibility.”
