Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batting coach Michael Hussey said that facing Delhi Capitals in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) match will be a challenge.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Hussey said it would be a “challenge” for the Chennai-based side to play away games in different conditions that the team is not used to.

“We will now play away games against Delhi and Sunrisers Hyderabad and it’s always a challenge to play away from home in different conditions that we are not used to. So, I think it will be a big challenge for the team,” ESPNCricinfo Hussey was quoted as saying.

CSK got off to a good start in the IPL 2024 season, registering two consecutive wins in their opening match after defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Gujarat Titans (GT).

The Chennai-based team currently tops the IPL 2024 table with four points. After beating Team GT by 63 runs, they will face Delhi Capitals.

Looking back at Chennai’s last match in the tournament against Gujarat, GT batted CSK first after winning the toss. Rachin Ravindra (46 off 20 balls, including 6 fours and 3 sixes), captain Ruturaj Gaikwad (46 off 36 balls, including 5 fours and 1 six) and Dube (51 off 23 balls, including 2 fours and 5 sixes) Fiery batting saw CSK post a record of 206/6 in 20 overs.

Rashid Khan (2/49) and Spencer Johnson (1/35) were selected as GT bowlers.

In the run chase, GT kept losing wickets. Sai Sudharsan (37 off 31 balls, 3 fours), Wriddhiman Saha (21 off 17 balls, 4 boundaries) and David Miller (21 off 16 balls, 3 fours) tried to put up a fight, but it was not to be So enough. GT were restricted to 143/8 and lost by 63 runs.
