Bhopal, Nov 1 (IANS) On the state’s 70th foundation day, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav launched the Developed Madhya Pradesh @2047 vision document, promising 200,000 government jobs within three years and presenting a blueprint to transform the state into a powerhouse of industry, agriculture and innovation by the centenary of India’s independence.
Addressing the “Abhyudaya Madhya Pradesh” function at Rabindra Bhawan, Yadav declared 2025 as the year of investment and employment.
“Strategic initiatives have secured proposals worth over Rs 30 lakh crore, with Rs 8.44 lakh crore sanctioned – set to create over 600,000 jobs,” he announced.
In the last two years alone, 825,000 posts have been created with an investment of Rs 23,853 crore, while 60,000 government vacancies have been filled.
The vision document – prepared through a state-wide consultation involving every district and panchayat, with guidance from NITI Aayog – is based on three pillars: happiness, prosperity and culture.
This aligns seamlessly with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ambition of a Developed India @2047, which emphasizes public participation as the bedrock of progress.
Major initiatives include Pradhan Mantri Mitra Park, upcoming rail coach factory at Umaria village (Raisen) and tourism and medical education projects under public-private partnership.
An air ambulance service now ensures quick medical access to remote areas. Agriculture, the economic backbone of the state, will benefit from river-linking projects that expand irrigation, solar pumps empowering farmers with self-generated electricity, and almost completely digital land registries (97 percent—the highest in the country).
The infrastructure push got a boost with the signing of the development agreement for Ujjain airport in the presence of Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarpu Ram Mohan Naidu, making it the fourth new airport in two years after Rewa, Satna and Datia. Madhya Pradesh now has nine airports. Flight contracts for Rewa-New Delhi and Rewa-Indore in three sectors were handed over along with PM Shri Helicopter Tourism Service.
Digital governance has taken center stage with the launch of the MP e-Services portal – which provides 500 services immediately, with 1,750 more services in the pipeline – and investment MP 3.0, streamlining industrial approvals.
“Wash on Wheels” connects sanitation services through mobile app technology, while three AI-powered cities will promote expanded service coverage.
Wildlife conservation flourishes with two new tiger reserves, a cheetah sanctuary, and plans to increase bison and rhinoceros populations, promoting eco-tourism and forest-adjacent livelihoods. The newly notified Omkareshwar sanctuary extends to Khandwa and Dewas.
Union Minister Naidu described Yadav as an example of public service, noting Madhya Pradesh’s blend of tradition (“Om”) and technology (“AI”).
Chief Secretary Anurag Jain underlined the grassroots genesis of the document.
