Mother of girl killed in Land Rover school crash recalls daughter’s final moments

The mother of an eight-year-old girl killed when a driver crashed into a school in Wimbledon has told of her daughter’s final moments.

Eight-year-old Nuria Sajjad was killed in July last year when a Land Rover crashed through a fence and plowed into a group of children and adults attending a tea party at their prep school.

Her mother Smela, who was also seriously injured in the accident, appeared on ITV’s This Morning on Thursday (March 21) and paid tribute to her daughter, the day after her ninth birthday.

A 46-year-old woman from Wimbledon was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been released under investigation.
